Flin Flon Bombers pause season until after Christmas break
The Flin Flon Bombers will not be playing in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the rest of 2020.
This just a few weeks after the Manitoba government deemed the province a red zone due to a COVID-19 numbers constantly growing there.
Since that time, the Bombers have been trying to work with health authorities in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba, as well as the Saskatchewan government. However, talks did not seem to result in a solution.
“These discussions included finding alternatives for the Bombers to practise and play. A solution to date has been unable to be found due to the daily increases of COVID-19,” a statement from the SJHL on Twitter said. “The Bombers have exhausted all avenues in the process while keeping the health of their players and communities in mind.”
