Province records 312 new COVID-19 cases

As of January 14, a total of 11,985 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Saskatchewan.

On January 13, 1,393 doses were administered across the province including 295 in the North Central region, the Far North West (121), the Far North Central (11), the Far North East (30) and North East (108) zones.

On January 12, 664 doses were administered across the province. A total of 139 were administered in the North Central (139) zone, the Far North West (130), the Far North Central (20), the Far North East (11) and the North East (100) zones.

This now includes 192 doses administered in the Far North regions that were reported on January 12 and 13, following the case news releases of those days being posted.

Today’s statistics

There are 312 new COVID-19 cases reported in the province, bringing the provincial total to 19,329.

The new cases in the northern zones include 14 in the Far North West, eight in the Far North Central, 29 in the Far North East, 18 in the North West, 39 in the North Central, and seven in the North East.

There are no new deaths to report.

A total of 15,264 individuals have recovered and 3,859 cases are considered active.

In the northern communities there is one person receiving inpatient care in the Far North West zone, two in the Far North Central zone, one in the Far North East, 13 in the North West, 34 in the North Central, and 13 in the North East.

There are two people in intensive care in the North West zone and five in the North Central zone.

There were 3,270 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan on January 13, 2021.

To date, 461,935 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan. As of January 12, 2021 when other provincial and national numbers were available, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 269,310 people tested per million population. The national rate was 393,240 people tested per million population.

NITHA communities

According to the Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority’s (NITHA) Facebook page, as of Jan. 13 there are 554 active cases of COVID-19 in NITHA communities.

These cases are located in the Far North Central, Athabasca (37), Far North West (118), Far North East (254), North Central (68), and North East (77).

There are 1189 cases (68 per cent) recovered, and eight people are currently in hospital.
