Gold Eagle Casino set to open June 20
The Saskatchewan Indigenous Gaming Authority (SIGA) announced this week that all seven casinos in the province are opening to the public in less than a month.
The Gold Horse Casino in Lloydminster will open at 11:00 a.m. on June 20, while the Gold Eagle Casino in North Battleford and the remaining five will open earlier at 10:00 a.m. that day. During this initial phase of opening, SIGA will start up at reduced capacity, given the 150 person maximum and physical distancing requirements imposed by the provincial health guidelines. Select gaming and food service will be available, but those will be enhanced when more restrictions are lifted.
In a media release, SIGA President and CEO Zane Hansen said they were excited to welcome back guests and have worked hard to ensure the health and safety of all.
“I’m very excited for our team members to return to what they do best, providing the best entertainment experience possible for our guests, even if that experience now looks a bit different,” he said.
