Province reports 141 new cases of COVID-19, two deaths
The Government of Saskatchewan has announced 141 new cases of COVID-19 in the province.
The new cases in northern Saskatchewan are located in the Far North West (two), Far North East (two), North West (13), North Central (five), North East (one), and six new cases have pending residence information.
There are 1,796 cases considered active and 75,744 cases are considered recovered. Nearly one-quarter (24.8 per cent) of new cases are in the age category of 40 to 59. Over two-fifths (43.1 per cent) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.
In total, 197 individuals are hospitalized, including 148 inpatient hospitalizations and 49 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 197 patients, 134 (68 per cent) were not fully vaccinated.
