First case of monkeypox reported in Saskatchewan
With few details as to where the province has confirmed the first case of monkeypox in Saskatchewan.
Public health said the risk to the population remains low.
“But residents are encouraged to be aware of the symptoms and contact a health care provider if they suspect they may be infected,” Deputy Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Julie Kryzanowski said.
Authorities would not release any information about the location, gender or age of the infected person to prevent them from being identified.
