Meadow Lake Lions Club member recognized for long service
Meadow Lake Lions Club is honouring a long-serving volunteer who has been with the group for 60 years.
Barry Gibson joined the club when he was 22 years old. He is a charter member, since he has been with the club since it started in the 1960s.
Some of the big projects he has been involved with include helping build the arena, developing the Lions Park, and making a $100,000 donation to Meadow Lake’s new nursing home – the NorthWest Community Lodge.
“The Lions Club is a good club [to belong to],” Gibson said. “The fellowship with the members for all these years has been great.”
