Woman charged after knife attack on Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation
A 34-year-old woman is facing several charges after a man was injured with a knife in Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation.
Around 8:45 a.m. on May 12, Loon Lake RCMP received a report of an assault near a clinic in the community.
There they found a woman, armed with a knife, who was not allowing people into the clinic. She also allegedly attacked a man who suffered non-life-threatening injuries and didn’t need to go to a hospital.
The police say the woman was distraught and wasn’t cooperating, so an officer decided to use a conducted energy device to subdue her. She was taken into custody and assessed by medical personnel.
