Jun 13, 2016 | 12:00 PM

Forensic investigators were able to positively identify a suspect wanted for a recent break and enter in Meadow Lake.

At approximately 5 a.m. on Friday, June 9, police were called after a male suspect broke into a home. He was confronted by the female occupant and fled with items of clothing. After the K-9 unit was unable to track the suspect, RCMP called in North Battleford’s Forensic Identification Services who were able to process the scene leading to the positive identification of an individual.

A 17-year-old male, whose name can’t be released, was arrested on Saturday, June 10 and is remanded into custody with a court appearance set for today, June 13.

The youth has been charged with breaking and entering a residence and two counts of failing to comply with undertaking. He was on conditions after being arrested and charged with weapons offences and assault in Meadow Lake back in February 2016.
