Jul 13, 2016 | 6:00 AM

A day to celebrate the amenities provincial parks have to offer free of charge is coming to Meadow Lake Provincial Park on Saturday.

Activities planned for the July 16 event include face painting, cake and a question period with members from the Sask. Fur Trappers Association. Lillian Neilly, head interpreter at the provincial park said the day will kick off at 1 p.m. at Sandy Beach.

“It’s our day to give back and have a little celebration to commemorate we are a great place for visitors to come spend their summers,” she said. “To come visit us and experience what’s going on in our area and what kind of adventures you can experience when you come to our parks.”

Registration isn’t required, people can just show up and participate in any of the events planned.
