Where to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies in M.L.

With the Remembrance Day only two days away, staff in Meadow Lake’s schools and Legion are putting the finishing touches on services to commemorate military veterans.

Since students are off Nov. 11, services will be held tomorrow, Nov. 10.

At Jubilee Elementary School, a service takes place at 10:45 a.m. Afghanistan veteran Flo Campbell is expected to attend and during the service, each class has a part to play in a short skit.

At Gateway, Jonas Samson, Lakeview and Carpenter High School services will begin Nov. 10 at 10:45 a.m., 11 a.m., 10:55 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., respectively. While veterans are invited, it’s not known who would attend.

On Remembrance Day, Meadow Lake’s Royal Canadian Legion is holding its annual service at the Civic Centre at 10 a.m. Again, veterans are invited, however the number coming hasn’t been confirmed.
