Conservation officers looking for moose poachers

Loon Lake conservation officers are on the hunt for moose poachers.

Officers received a call about a shot and partially left to waste cow and calf moose on Oct. 20.

The animals were found roughly four km. North of Makwa.

According to a release, an investigation revealed the cow moose was skinned before being dragged roughly a kilometre. The calf-moose was also skinned before being dragged over six kilometres from the kill site.
