Government changing legislation amid wage reduction proposal
The 3.5 per cent wage reduction proposed in Saskatchewan will go ahead without a vote from the NDP.
The government is mandating the wage drop for MLAs, staff and public sector contracts that are open or about to expire.
But the fiscal move requires the approval of the board of internal economy.
The NDP will not attend the meeting believing this wage reduction is an attack on workers.
