North West College (NWC) announced today President and CEO Tavia Laliberte resigned from her position at the college, effective February 9, 2018.

Laliberte held the position since October, 2013. The announcement from the college said prior to her end date, Laliberte will assist management in a smooth transition with ongoing projects. Laliberte is leaving the institution for a different role elsewhere, but the college did not specify.

“Tavia (Laliberte) is leaving North West College having made a significant contribution to our growth,” Ken Hodgson, acting board chair of the college, said. “During her time, she has led significant changes to improve operations and drive future growth as we continue to build a strong and diverse organization here in northwest Saskatchewan.”

Hodgson added Laliberte was an asset to NWC and that the college wished her the best in her endeavours.

Over the coming months, the college's board of governors will search to hire a replacement president and chief executive officer.
