Feb 23, 2018 | 9:36 AM

More than half of Rivers West’ medal performances at the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games have happened at Table Mountain, after five snowboarders took home medals on Thursday afternoon.

Of the 12 medals that were awarded on the first day of slopestyle, North Battleford natives Donovan Schiele and Rio Tucker won gold, Tate Schiele and Battleford native Daxton Ma won silver, and North Battleford’s Kasen Humenny won bronze.

That means 21 of Rivers West’ 41 total medals have come in either alpine skiing or snowboarding.

Of the seven remaining medals handed out on Thursday afternoon, Prairie Central won two, Regina won two, Lakeland won one, Saskatoon won one, and South West won one.
