Meadow Lake RCMP are asking for help in locating a 14-year-old Indigenous female last seen at the Flying Dust First Nation Powwow.

Shaylene Roy is described as five-foot-six, weighing 115 pounds. She has medium-long black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen Sept. 2 at 1 a.m., wearing a black hoodie and black Adidas pants.

Police say to date all leads relating to Roy’s disappearance have been exhausted in the Meadow Lake area. Officers do not believe she is in the area or surrounding communities. Roy has not accessed social media since her disappearance and has no funds to access.

Police say it’s possible she may be staying with previous associates in the North Battleford and Saskatoon areas, however she has not contacted any family or friends, who say that is out of character for her.

Anyone with information on Roy’s whereabouts is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

Editor’s Note: This story was updated with information from an additional RCMP release on Sept. 6.
