The Thanksgiving Long weekend was a busy one for the Meadow Lake RCMP detachment.

Police responded to 77 calls for service throughout, and several of the calls included property related offences involving local businesses and churches in the city of Meadow Lake.

Saturday, a lone female was caught on surveillance video breaking into a restaurant on First Ave. W, stealing an undisclosed amount of money, according to police. Sunday, a break-and-enter was reported to a church on Second St. E, but nothing was reported stolen. Another church was broken into on Fifth St. W, sometime over the weekend, and an undisclosed amount of cash and cheques were taken.

Monday, a break-and-enter was reported at a business on Ninth St. NW. The investigation is ongoing to determine if anything was taken.
