M.L. Stampeders 0-2 over weekend, playoff hopes still alive

The Meadow Lake Stampeders midget AA hockey team is tied for the final playoff spot in the Centre Four Hockey League (CFHL) following back-to-back losses this past weekend.

M.L. Broncos provincial run ends with loss to Wilkie

The Meadow Lake Broncos provincial run has come to an end following the team’s 4-0 loss to the Wilkie Outlaws on Saturday night.

Head coach Darryl Worms he was proud of the team’s effort, despite the loss on Feb. 11.

Rush dominate Knighthawks 21-12

The Saskatchewan Rush used a 14-goal second half to get past the Rochester Knighthawks 21-12 in National Lacrosse League (NLL) action last night.

The win was the Rush’s fourth straight this season and ninth in a row versus the Knighthawks.

From rebuilder to back-to-back champion, Saskatchewan Rush’s Jeff Cornwall has grown with his team. He is widely credited with winning the team's last championship, but remains ever humble.

The defender hailing from Port Coquitlam, B.C., is very cerebral describing his chosen sport.
