One dead, one seriously injured after school bus, truck collide near Pierceland

One person is dead and another is in hospital after a two-vehicle collision in the Rural Municipality of Beaver River, near the community of Pierceland.

RCMP said the collision occurred at the intersection of Township Road 623 and Range Road 3254 at around 7:50 a.m. Thursday morning.

When the horn sounds on May 31 at the North Battleford Exhibition Grounds and thundering hooves hit the dirt to start the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) season, history will be made by at least one driver.

Thanksgiving weekend busy for Meadow Lake RCMP

The Thanksgiving Long weekend was a busy one for the Meadow Lake RCMP detachment.

Police responded to 77 calls for service throughout, and several of the calls included property related offences involving local businesses and churches in the city of Meadow Lake.

Jeremy Harrison will once again represent the Saskatchewan Party in the next provincial election for the constituency of Meadow Lake.

The three-term MLA was acclaimed Friday night.

Meadow Lake man dead after two-vehicle collision on Highway 55

A 41-year-old man from Meadow Lake is dead following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 55.

Sunday at around 4:15 p.m., emergency personnel from Meadow Lake were called to a motor vehicle collision about eight kilometres east of the city, according to police.
