Meadow Lake’s Door of Hope “grateful” for community support
A Meadow Lake charity’s doors remain open and its executive director said it’s because of the support of very generous volunteers.
Unita Esau said the helping hands really “make our day.”
“For us as a staff, (people donating time) means someone is sharing our workload. And they’re sharing it because they believe in what we do,” Esau said.
During the Easter break, staff and students from Pierceland School donated their time by re-organizing the food bank’s storage room; a project which took nearly a full day. Staff from the local RBC bank donated an evening to work with the charity sorting canned goods.
