Big River Cultural Board Needs Members

Big River Recreation and Cultural Board Call for Members at Large

The Town of Big River and R.M. of Big River No. 555 and Big River & District Recreation and Cultural Board are requesting user groups in the Community to recommend in writing to Councils, individuals who would be interested in sitting on the Board from January 1st, 2016 to December 31st 2017.

Such Board shall consist of eight (8) members who shall be appointed:
(a) Two elected members of the R.M. of Big River No 555, appointed by Council of the RM of Big River, No. 555.
(b) Two elected members of the Town of Big River, appointed by the Council of the Town of Big River.
i.Four (4) members at large shall represent user groups of the facility chosen as follows:
ii.An advertisement shall be placed in a local paper requesting user groups in the Community to recommend in writing to Councils
individuals who would be interested in sitting on the Board.
iii.After closing date the Councils shall set a meeting date and invite the recommended individuals to attend.
iv.The recommended individuals shall amongst themselves, by secret ballot, determine the 4 members at large.
v.The selected four shall be appointed by the Councils of the RM of Big River, No. 555 and the Town of Big River.

Recommendations should be made in writing and submitted to the Town of Big River, 606 First Street North, Box 220, Big River, SK, S0J 0E0
