Big River hit and run case adjourned

A Big River man, accused of driving impaired and killing a young boy, will stay in custody.

Stephen Lalonde, 43, made a brief court appearance Friday morning at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

He did not say a word, stared straight ahead, and the case was quickly adjourned to Aug. 26. Lalonde is remanded to custody.

A five-year-old boy who was riding his bike, died Tuesday night when struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead in hospital.
