PA National Park Events
In the upcoming weeks the park will be home to a number of exciting events and activities that we wanted to share with you.
The Waskesiu Lakeside Music Festival starts today! This festival brings live music, a cabaret, family activities, yoga, interpretive games, and a pancake breakfast to Prince Albert National Park. With the exception of the cabaret and pancake breakfast all activities are FREE with paid park admission. The attached PDF provides a breakdown of all activities taking place throughout the weekend. The Waskesiu Volunteer Fire Department will be running a BBQ, free jam session, and offering fire truck rides tonight just before the cabaret. From 6:30pm till 8:30pm come out to the Terrace Gardens (across from the Nature Centre) to support the Waskesiu Volunteer Fire Department!
Park interpreters will be running a number of exciting programs over the Labour Day weekend September 3rd and 4th. Program descriptions can be found in the attached PDF.
The Reel Rave International Film Festival is set to bring award-winning films to the community of Waskesiu September 9th to 11th! This year’s festival will include screenings of six international films at the Twin Pines Cinema.

The MS Bike Tour will be coming to Waskesiu September 17th. Embark on a journey with more than 375 cyclists through Prince Albert National Park! Pre-registration and fundraising is required to participate in this event. Involvement will help fund programs and services for those impacted by multiple sclerosis in Saskatchewan, as well as ground breaking research to help find the cause and a cure.

There is still time to register for the Outter Limits Fun Run! Register for the 5km walk/run or 10km run by September 1st. The event will be taking place in Prince Albert National Park Saturday, September 24th. Since beginning 15 years ago, this event has donated over $78,000.00 to local and national charities. Funds raised this year will be donated to the Waskesiu Recreation Association and the Saskatchewan Environmental Society Boreal Watershed Monitoring Project.
