Moscovitch, Ilyushechkina take silver medal at Nebelhorn Trophy
OBERSTDORF, Germany — Canadian figure skater Dylan Moscovitch and his Russian-born pairs partner Lubov Ilyushechkina won silver at the Nebelhorn Trophy on Saturday with a total 184.40 points.
Moscovitch and Ilyushechkina scored 118.42 in their free program to solidify the second-place finish.
“We felt pretty good about our program,” said Ilyushechkina. “We are very happy with how it went. It went from the beginning to the end with one smooth motion and we kept the chemistry and togetherness throughout the whole performance.”
Aliona Savchenko and Bruno Massot of Germany won gold with 203.04 points and their teammates Mari Vartmann and Ruben Blommaert won the bronze with 162.38 points.
