UPDATE: The power’s back on Waterhen Lake First Nation

UPDATE: According to SaskPower, the power has been restored on Waterhen Lake First Nation. The crown corporation said there was significant line damage, but crews were able to complete the resoration at roughly 9 p.m. Tuesday night.

While most of Meadow Lake got their power back yesterday, residents on Waterhen Lake First Nation are going on day three without.

“The only thing we’re aware of right now is that SaskPower is updating us at 5 p.m. whether or not we’re going to go beyond without power,” spokeswoman Joanne Roy said. “I’m in the process of talking with emergency preparedness to see what needs to be done and it’s a work in progress.”
