Trial begins in Regina for teen accused of murder
All eyes will be on the Regina’s Court of Queen’s Bench as the trial for the second teen charged in the murder of Hannah Leflar begins Monday.
The teen, who cannot be named because of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with first-degree murder after 16-year-old Leflar was found dead in her Regina home in Jan. 2015.
He committed to trial during his preliminary hearing in Jan. 2016.
The co-accused in the case pleaded guilty earlier this year and is awaiting sentencing.
