Kramer family excited about acquisition
The president of North Battleford-based Kramer Auctions said he’s looking forward to re-investing in the community after his family’s company was bought by B.C. company Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers.
Neil Kramer said he’s excited to open a new chapter on a company he’s been involved with almost his whole life.
“The principal reason was based on what is best for our family and continued success of the business,” he said. “The two companies together have more than 100 years [of] auction experience. It will be a perfect fit as we’ll be able to combine our knowledge to offer the public the best service and the most experience that’s out there.”
Kramer’s father started the company in 1949 and he joined on in 1970. He said the whole family will remain involved in the auctions, and this move will enable them to focus more on the community and his 13 grandchildren.
