National Fatherhood Conference

Feb 7, 2017 | 3:53 PM

Dad Central Canada is hosting the second National Fatherhood Conference.  More than 200 participants from across the country will participate through discussions, presentations and networking around strategies for working with vulnerable fathers and their families.

“This conference is months in preparation and we are excited that we can bring service providers together to better serve dads and their families” explained Brian Russell, the Provincial Coordinator of Dad Central Ontario. Russell is a father of three, one of the organizers, and Wednesday’s keynote speaker.

Opening this years’ conference will be the Honorable Wab Kinew, MLA for Fort Rouge.  The focus this year will encourage discussions about fathers at risk:  young dads, immigrant/newcomer dads, Aboriginal dads, incarcerated dads, as well as domestic violence issues and more.

Join us on Wednesday and Thursday, March 1-2, 2017 at Canad Inns Polo Park, Winnipeg, MB.
