Us and Them Film Premier
The much talked about film, US&THEM, is having its Prince Albert premiere!
Filmmaker Krista Loughton will be in attendance at the John M Cuelenaere Public Library Theatre on Thursday, September 14 at 7 pm.
US&THEM chronicles Loughton’s personal experience befriending four chronically homeless people. Using the First Nations Medicine Wheel, she sets out to help them but they end up helping her. The story digs deep into the root causes of homelessness and addiction.
The film has a local connection as one of the homeless people is from Northern Saskatchewan. After the showing Loughton will be available for questions.
Loughton will be in Saskatchewan to screen in Prince Albert, La Loche, and Saskatoon. Following these shows in Saskatchewan, US&THEM will screen on Parliament Hill on September 26. The Ministry of Families, Children, and Social Development will be hosting the event in Ottawa for all of Canada’s MPs.
Admission is free with donations accepted to help defray costs.
Sponsors are: Century 21 Prestige Realty – Kevin Wouters, Glenda Theis, Floyd Baldwin, Miller Contracting, PA Community Housing Society, River Bank Development Corporation, YWCA Prince Albert
