Training Information

The Employment Standards Division offers free online training webinars that provides basic information about the employment standards in Saskatchewan. These webinars address commonly asked questions that affect most employers and employees, including employers based outside of Saskatchewan with employees in the province.

You can attend the webinar from your home or office using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.

The sessions will cover a variety of topics, including weekly schedules, hours of work, overtime, vacations, public holidays, leaves, and more.

Each webinar includes an audiovisual presentation and a question and answer session. Each session will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour, including time at the end for questions. There are 100 spots available for each webinar.

The Employment Standards Division also offers free, customizable online or in-person training. If your organization is interested in working with us to develop customized webinars or in-person training on specific subjects for groups of employees, please contact the Manager of Education Services, Employment Standards Division, at 306-933-7980.

Webinar Software

The webinars are offered through GoToWebinar, an online software service that uses your computer’s internet browser. GoToWebinar will automatically download the required software onto your device when you register. Please visit their support page for more information.

GoToWebinar suggests testing your computer or tablet before joining the webinar, to avoid any connection issues. A link to the test site will be sent to you in the registration confirmation email.

Audio

You have two options to listen to the webinar audio:

1. Use your computer’s audio – When the webinar begins, you will be connected to audio using your computer’s speakers or headset (VOIP).
2. Use your telephone – Your confirmation email will contain more information about using your telephone, including the call-in numbers.
