Text of the post-G7 motion of solidarity passed Monday in House of Commons
OTTAWA — Members of Parliament voiced unanimous support Monday for a motion tabled by NDP MP Tracey Ramsey expressing solidarity with the government of Canada in its escalating trade dispute with the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump. The motion reads:
That the House
a) recognize the importance of Canada’s long-standing, mutually beneficial trading relationship with the United States of America,
b) stand with Canadian workers and communities that directly or indirectly depend on this trading relationship;
