Navigating Safe Discussion on Racism

Jul 24, 2018 | 12:30 PM

On Thursday, July 26th we’ll be bringing indigenous and non-indigenous allies together to discuss what racism looks like in our province and how to talk about it within our communities.

Let’s Talk: Navigating Safe Discussion on Racism will take place in Saskatoon and will be livestreamed on facebook.

We are looking for help from the districts to reach out to their communities and share information about this event.  We’d like to encourage communities to host their own live-stream gatherings; watching and discussing the Saskatoon event live from 6:30-8:30pm on July 26th.

Please find an attached event poster, along with information on how communities can engage in this event and host their own live-stream gathering!

More information about the panelists and event can be found on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/events/220416895251351/

This event is being presented by SaskCulture, Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Writers Guild, Common Weal Community Arts, and with support from our community partner the Saskatchewan Filmpool.

Please contact me to with any questions or to hear more about the event.  We have a $25 contribution/ district to go towards community gatherings, so reach out to let us know about any events.  We would also like to include all livestream gatherings on our facebook page.

Look forward to bringing this discussion to communities across Saskatchewan.
