Riders Free Agency: A.C. Leonard returns, Holley to Ottawa

Feb 14, 2019 | 2:22 PM

After the departures of Willie Jefferson and Tobi Antigha, the Saskatchewan Roughriders looked to a familiar face on the defensive line to fill the void.

Defensive end A.C. Leonard is returning to the green and white after spending the last season with the Ottawa Redblacks, making 49 defensive tackles and six sacks.

But before his venture east, Leonard spent most 2016 and 2017 with the Riders, making 66 tackles, 10 sacks and one forced fumble.

Leonard signed a one year deal for 2019.

Holley to Ottawa

The man who scored the first regular-season touchdown at the new Mosaic Stadium is on the move.

Receiver Caleb Holley joined the Ottawa Redblacks, the team announced Thursday.

Holley played just nine games in 2018, making 14 receptions for 213 yards.
