Skijorning at Valley Equestrian Centre

This is an excellent spectator sport with lots of thrills and spills!

With the opening of our new Indoor Riding Arena there will be an indoor space for competitors and spectators alike to warm up. A lunch canteen will be on site, as well as a coffee and snacks booth! There will be a bouncy castle and climbing wall set up for the kids! Spectator admission is by donation.

Great prizes from our excellent sponsors! There will also be some cool original one-of-a-kind Skijoring swag available for purchase at this event.

For Competitors:

The entry fee will be $40/competitor and this allows you unlimited entries.

This fee allows riders to compete on as many horses as they choose included in the $40. This entry fee system encourages riders to bring multiple horses as on the day of the event we have a lot of people wanting to ski, but who may not have horse partners.

If you have several horses that would be capable of this event, please bring them all and we will find you a skier to pair with!

This gives you more chances to ride and allows more people to compete! Please note each team (consisting of a horse/rider/skier, may only compete once per event.)

For example rider x, horse A, and skier B are one team. Rider x, horse A and skier C would be a new team.

Divisions included this year are as follows:
*Sprint (Run in heats of 5)
*Team Relay
*Slalom
*Jump
*Trot (for beginner skier/snowboarders)
*Pony Drag Race (Miniature)(Run in heats of 5)
*Pony Drag Race Open (Run in heats of 5)

The first event will start at 10:00 a.m.

If you are late, we will not hold the race for you. Events will proceed in the above order.
