SHA updating design for new care facility
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is being required to update the design of the new care facility that will replace the Northlands Pioneer’s Lodge in Meadow Lake.
A spokesperson for the SHA said the update is needed due to recent changes in energy code requirements. As part of the update, the SHA is also looking into whether the current design has flexibility to meet any expansion requirements to add more beds in the facility in the future.
Current designs for the facility will provide it with 72 beds. The updated design work is expected to be ready by fall 2019.
