Residents urged to vote in byelection

A municipal byelection to fill an empty city council seat takes place Wednesday.

The seat became vacant when former mayor Gary Vidal successfully ran for member of Parliament last month and former councillor Merlin Seymore won the byelection to become mayor.

Candidates running are Richard Levesque, Anthony Vandenberg and Richard Watson.

Voting will take place at the Meadow Lake Civic Centre at 420 Third St. E. from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
