Fifth person arrested in connection to drive-by shooting

RCMP have made another arrest in connection to a drive-by shooting in Meadow Lake last month.
Lennox Merasty Morin, 31, was arrested on Tuesday and will make his next court appearance Wednesday. He faces 13 charges in connection to the incident on Nov. 23.
On that day shortly before 11 p.m., Meadow Lake RCMP were informed two men had been shot while driving east near the intersection of Seventh Ave. W. and Fifth St. W. The driver, a 32-year-old man suffered a single gunshot wound to his back. The passenger, a 50-year-old man, was injured as well.
The suspect vehicle, a white-four door Chevy was observed leaving the city on a rural road, and when police attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver sped off. The vehicle eventually lost control and crashed into the bushes on Range Road 610.
