Meadow Lake RCMP Christmas angels ready to take flight

Meadow Lake RCMP are kicking off their second annual fundraiser for the Salvation Army Empty Stocking Fund and this year will be a little different.
Staff Sgt. Tim Sartison at the local detachment said last year’s Christmas Tree Fundraiser raised $4,243.55. All proceeds went to the Salvation Army.
“Last year we put up Christmas trees and this year we’ve put up Christmas angels,” Sartison told meadowlakeNOW.
“We’ve placed nine [angels] out in front of the detachment and our detachment decorates them. We have a barbecue and people from the community come out and vote on which one they like the best then put a donation toward their favourite angel,” Sartison added.
