Police searching for wanted La Loche man

UPDATE:

RCMP reported late Tuesday that on March 10, at approximately 5:40 pm, Nestor Herman turned himself in at the La Loche RCMP Detachment. He will make his first appearance in court at La Loche on Thursday, March 12, at 10 a.m.

RCMP members in La Loche are searching for a man who has a warrant issued for his arrest.

On March 7 Mounties seized several firearms and ammunition from a home in La Loche.

Nestor Herman, born 1982, was charged with a number of Criminal Code offences including: possession of firearms while prohibited, possession of ammunition while prohibited, possession of firearms with tampered serial numbers, and unsafe storage of firearms.

Police believe Herman is evading arrest.

Members are seeking assistance from the public in locating him.
