44-year-old man put into custody after over 7 month search

After actively evading arrest since Nov. 11, 2019, Michael Joseph Petit was taken into custody on Friday by Dillon RCMP.

Petit was wanted by La Loche RCMP for an outstanding arrest warrant for breach of a conditional sentence order.

Petit was reported by RCMP to have been travelling between Buffalo Narrows and La Loche.

Petit’s next court appearance will be on Monday, 10 a.m. in La Loche.
