Minor incident sends Eagle Creek GM staff member to hospital

A welding incident at Eagle Creek GM Motor Products in Meadow Lake resulted in a staff member being taken to hospital.

Meadow Lake Fire Chief Neil Marsh told meadowlakeNOW a minor welding incident was reported in the shop sometime around July 15.

Dustin Treptow, Eagle Creek’s operations manager confirmed a colleague was sent to a hospital in Edmonton to be treated for burn wounds.

Dustin declined to comment but did say the member of staff was doing ‘OK’.
