Possible COVID-19 transmission at Turtleford and District Co-op store

The Turtleford and District Co-op has been informed a community member who tested positive for COVID-19 visited their store.

According to multiple Facebook posts from the store, they discovered the infected person had been at the agro store on July 22 and a family member had been in the grocery story on July 27 or 28.

After the Turtleford and District Co-op was made aware, all staff who may have been in contact with the case had been sent home to self-isolate as well as get tested. The store has been in contact with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and have followed their instructions.

They have upgraded their sanitizing and cleaning procedures at all locations.

In the most recent post, they want to alert the public one of the staff members who was sent home has tested positive for COVID-19. They have been given instructions of contact tracing, self isolation and testing.

“We have been told by SHA, that due to our diligence and pandemic protocols, this is posing a very small threat to the public,” as stated in the post.

They closed both locations and will reopen on Tuesday with limited hours.

“We have deep cleaned and sanitized every possible area a second and a third time. We have also made masks mandatory for all staff and managers while dealing with the public, or handling product,” they said in the post.
