Heat warnings blanket Saskatchewan
Environment Canada has issued heat warnings for nearly all of Saskatchewan.
The province is broken up into 32 regions on the Environment Canada alerts page — and 26 of them were put under a heat warning Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
The cities of Regina and Saskatoon were among the areas under a warning. The only regions not included in the warnings were in the north and far north.
According to the weather service, heat warnings are issued in the southern part of the province “when two or more consecutive days of daytime maximum temperatures are expected to reach 32 C or warmer and nighttime minimum temperatures are expected to fall to 16 C or warmer.”
