Possible COVID-19 exposure advisory for Turtleford expanded
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has updated an alert about the possibility of COVID-19 transmission through the SARCAN depot in Turtleford.
It is expanding the length of time for potential exposure to include a few more days. Although the SHA says the risk of transmission to the general public is considered low, they are advising anyone who visited the depot between August 4 and August 14 to self monitor for symptoms of the virus.
The advisory was originally posted for possible exposure between August 4 and August 6, but the SHA said it obtained new information during the case investigation which warranted the changes.
At the advice of SHA, SARCAN enacted several safety measures to further limit the spread of COVID-19.
