Five new cases of COVID-19 in province, 11 straight days of single-digit new cases
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is reporting five new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, making it 11 consecutive days that new cases have stuck in the single digits. In that span, the highest cases announced in one day has been six.
Three of Thursday’s new cases are from the North West region, with the other two coming from the Saskatoon area.
Of the 1,609 total cases to date, 1,527 have recovered. There are 58 active cases in the province — half of which are from communal living settings.
Three people are in hospital. One person is receiving inpatient care in Saskatoon and two people are in intensive care in Saskatoon.
