SaskTel still working to restore services in Spiritwood

Aug 27, 2020 | 11:05 AM

As of 1:30 p.m. yesterday the Saskatchewan Health Authority has announced the phone and internet services back up and running at the Spiritwood and District Health Complex. They will also remain open for emergencies.

According to a media release, fax services are still not available. They’re also not able to contact anyone in the community by landline.

For those who are trying to contact the Spiritwood and District Health Complex can do so by cellphone and the health complex will require patients cellphone number to return any calls.

SaskTel also provided an update on the matter by spokesperson Michelle Englot. She said their crews are working to restore internet and landline service in the Town of Spiritwood.

She said customers can call SaskTel at 1-800-727-5835 to have their landline forwarded to a cellphone number.

They do not have an estimated time when all services will be restored but explained a new Central Distribution Office needs to be set up.

Anyone with a landline that connects to SaskTel’s copper distribution network still does not have landline or internet service as well. Customers can also contact the town office to require a temporary cellular service if needed for emergencies.
