Evening car crash rattles bystanders, damages business property

Meadow Lake RCMP responded to a single vehicle crash around 6 p.m. Thursday evening at a business near 2 Ave. East and Centre Street.

Bystanders said the vehicle crashed in an alley way between Down Town Pawn and Co-op Pharmacy. The driver allegedly fled the scene. No one was injured.

RCMP respond to single crash behind businesses at Centre Street and 2 Ave. East in Meadow Lake.

Julie Vandale said her truck was parked outside when the car drove into the alley way and wedged itself between the wall and her truck losing its front bumper and damaging exterior walls in the process. She said three people leaving work at the time were nearly hit as the car came barreling into Vandale’s truck.
