Smoke from U.S. wildfires arrives in Saskatchewan
Environment Canada says smoke from wildfires burning in the U.S. pacific northwest region is arriving in the prairies this weekend.
The hazy conditions started Saturday morning.
“The weather pattern is pushing some of that smoke throughout Saskatchewan and throughout the whole prairies,” meteorologist David Baggaley said. “Most of that is well aloft well higher up in the atmosphere, so that will be producing hazy conditions.”
He expects air quality will start to be negatively impacted overnight and into Sunday.
