Felicia Adams is among the hopefuls seeking a seat on Meadow Lake city council.

Adams said she believes this was the right time for her to vie for a councillor position.

“I just feel that running for council is something that I am super passionate about, in terms of doing what is best for the community, and helping people who don’t always know how to voice their concerns,” she said.

She said she wants to assist people looking for “ways to make Meadow Lake better.”

If she is elected, Adams wants to make improvements to the sidewalks and roads especially.

“Lots of people have brought forward concerns over the potholes we get,” she added.

Adams would also like to look at possibly adding more yield signs on the roads to improve traffic flow where needed.

For her career, Adams is employed as a school teacher at École Lakeview / Lakeview Elementary School. She is also a board member with Northwest Community Lodge Association (NCLA).

Adams has been living in Meadow Lake with her husband for the past nine years. They have two children.

Adams believes if she is elected for a position on council she could help make a positive difference in the community.
