Obstetrics returns to Meadow Lake Hospital

Obstetrical services at the Meadow Lake Hospital will resume effective immediately.

The unit was shut down on Jan. 18 following a COVID-19 outbreak on the surgical ward. This move of extreme caution was made because the surgical ward utilizes many of the same staff as obstetrics.

Over the past month, anyone requiring labour and delivery services was screened and sent to Lloydminster Hospital or Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon
