Coast 2 Coast Closeup – Jim Newcombe

Jim Newcombe was born and grew up in St Helens which lies between Liverpool and Manchester UK. Lots of country acts played there including: Johnny Cash, Faron Young, Charley Pride, and Bill Anderson.

He went to Nashville many times where he met George Jones, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and others.

He moved to Canada in 1984 and settled in Burlington Ontario where continues to write songs for many genres including a country song that he wrote for Jake Blocker from Texas called “Blue Night”.
